How many "Shades"??

Hmm...pretty sure we can't have a blog like this without ANY mention at all of Fifty Shades of Grey?  Can we?  What are YOUR thoughts?  Did you love it?  Hate it?

Fifty Shades Trilogy Bundle: Fifty Shades of Grey; Fifty Shades Darker; Fifty Shades Freed (Vintage)

Personally, I've just started Book 3 - Fifty Shades Freed.  So no spoilers, if at all possible.  ;-)

So far, I love them.  And do I DARE say that I am IN love with Christian??  Yes, I absolutely DO dare to say.

Sigh...

  1. I loved, loved, loved the Trilogy. I have read it at least 10 times. This was truly a fantastic love story. Sure, there's lots and lots of sex, but the actual story of two people coming together and falling in love even with all the obsticles in the way, it was awesome. I think it's one of the best love stories around. Love me some Christian Grey.

  4. I loved these books despite the fact that the reading did get on my nerves every now and again. If nothing else I'm grateful that they reintroduced me to erotic fiction; I hadn't gone there since my teens. I finished the three books sometime ago now and have since indulged myself in lots of other erotic novels. If you're interested you can find my thoughts on the trilogy here: http://meen-readingjournal.blogspot.ie/2012/05/fifty-shades-complete.html. But, although that post doesn't contain any spoilers as such, you may want to wait until after you've finished reading the third book.

  6. I loved the storyline. I will say, I wasn't really impressed with the writing skill of the author. I would have loved to have edited it myself, but the story and the way she wrote really sucked me in right away.

  7. LOVED 50!! I was an avid reader and was reading alot of paranormal/sci-fi romance. This started my love of erotic romance. Now i feel like i can't get enough. I have subsequently been opened up to Cherise Sinclair and Kallypso Masters!! CLub Shodowlands here i come - hahaha. I probably have read this series about 5 time already and the first time i read all three in under a week - maybe 5 days tops.

  8. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT!!!!! Read them all seven times and have to curb my urge to read them again! Love the story line, and have encouraged MANY people to read them also. It is a beautiful love story! It brought back my love of reading, and has opened my eyes to a whole new genre of reading I didn't know existed! From it I discovered Kallypso Masters and Cherise Sinclair.
